Privacy policy

Last updated: July 2, 2026

ERA Skills provides a character development program for competitive youth sports clubs: a coaching curriculum, coach training, and web software available at eraskills.com and app.eraskills.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are based in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Because our platform involves data about young athletes, we also maintain a separate Children's Privacy & Parental Consent Notice written for parents.

Information we collect

We collect three broad categories of information:

  • Account data. When a club director, coach, or parent uses the platform, we collect the information needed to run their account — such as name, email address, role, and the club or team they belong to. Parents access the platform through a PIN issued by their club rather than a self-serve signup.
  • Athlete profile and assessment data. Clubs enter athlete rosters (typically name, age group, and team). As part of a club's program, athletes complete guided self-reflections and rate teammates with short comments, and coaches record evaluations. This data is entered and used under the club's program, with parental consent collected before any athlete participates.
  • Contact-form submissions. If you contact us or request a demo through our website, we collect the details you submit, such as your name, email address, organization, and message.

How we use information

  • To provide the ERA Skills program and operate the platform for clubs, coaches, athletes, and parents.
  • To send service emails, such as assessment notifications and account messages.
  • To respond to inquiries and demo requests.
  • To administer subscriptions and billing for club customers.
  • To maintain the security and reliability of the service.

We do not use personal information for advertising, and we never sell personal information.

Legal bases

In plain terms: we process account and athlete data to perform our contract with the club running the program; we process athlete data on the basis of the parental consent the club collects before participation; and we process contact-form data because you asked us to respond. Where a legitimate interest applies — such as keeping the service secure — we rely on that interest in a way that does not override your rights.

How we share information

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the platform, and only for that purpose:

  • Supabase — hosted database, authentication, and storage infrastructure, located in a United States region.
  • Email delivery providers — to send notifications and account emails.
  • Stripe — to process subscription payments for club customers. Athlete data is not shared with Stripe.

We may also disclose information if required by law. We never sell personal information and never share it for advertising purposes.

Data retention

We keep club, coach, athlete, and parent data while the club's account is active so that the program can operate. When a club's contract ends, or when we receive a verified deletion request from an authorized person (such as a club administrator or a parent for their own child), we delete the relevant personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must keep limited records to meet legal or accounting obligations.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect personal information, including encryption of data in transit and role-based access within the application — coaches see their teams, players see only their own scores, and parents see only their own child. No system is perfectly secure, but we design the platform so that each user sees only what their role requires.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing dane.berman@eraskills.com. We will verify your identity and your relationship to the data (for example, that you are the parent of the athlete in question, or an administrator of the club) before acting on a request. Parents can also exercise these rights for their child as described in our Children's Privacy & Parental Consent Notice.

Children's data

ERA Skills is designed for athletes aged 13–18, with participation by children under 13 possible only with verifiable parental consent. Parental consent is collected before any athlete participates. We do not provide rankings, leaderboards, or public player profiles by default. Please read our Children's Privacy & Parental Consent Notice for full details on how athlete data is handled.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify club administrators through the platform or by email. Continued use of the service after a change takes effect means the updated policy applies.
