Question 1

How does EraSkills work?

Accepted Answer

You rate yourself on 20 everyday behaviours across 5 skills, which takes about six minutes. Then you invite people who know your work to rate you on the same behaviours. Once 3 of them have answered, you see how others see you next to how you see yourself.

Question 2

Who should I ask?

Accepted Answer

At least 3 people, ideally 5 to 8, and a mix: a manager, peers, people from other teams, past colleagues or clients. Different views make the picture steadier.

Question 3

When do I see my results?

Accepted Answer

As soon as 3 people have answered. After that, your results refresh when 5, 8, 12, 16 and 20 people have answered, never after just one more, so nobody's answers can be worked out from a change.

Question 4

Can I see what one person said?

Accepted Answer

No. Scores are always pooled from 3 or more people, and written comments only ever appear as short themes written by AI, each drawn from 2 or more people. You never see anyone's own words.

Question 5

What's the ERA Score?

Accepted Answer

A number from 0 to 100 for how the people who answered see your skills overall. Only you can see it. From your second season, it shows how much it has moved.

Question 6

What does it cost?

Accepted Answer

Rating yourself, inviting people and your first hidden strength are free. The full report comes with Growth, yearly or monthly, along with the Interview Kit and a growth plan.

Question 7

Why did I get this?

Accepted Answer

Someone who knows your work would value your honest view of how they come across. They chose to ask you, and it takes about 3 minutes.

Question 8

Will they know what I said?

Accepted Answer

No. Your scores are combined with at least 2 other people's before they see anything, and results only move in steps, so your answers can't be picked out. They can see that you've answered, but not what you said.

Question 9

What happens to my comments?

Accepted Answer

AI (Anthropic's Claude, run by EraSkills) turns everyone's comments into short themes, and only themes that 2 or more people share are shown. Your own words are never shown. Leave out details that would identify you.

Question 10

Do I need an account?

Accepted Answer

No. You answer from the private link you were sent, and you never sign in.

Question 11

Can I say no?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Use "I can't take part" on the page or in the email. The reminders stop, and the person only sees that you can't take part this time.

Question 12

What do you keep, and for how long?

Accepted Answer

Your answers and any comments, for the person's results. If they entered your first name and email to invite you, those are deleted 30 days after the round of feedback ends.

Question 13

Who sees my results?

Accepted Answer

Only you. Nobody else, including the people who gave you feedback, ever sees your scores.

Question 14

Can I download or delete my data?

Accepted Answer

Yes, from your account page: download everything EraSkills keeps about you as a file, or delete your account, which removes it all straight away.

Question 15

Is my data used for research?

Accepted Answer

Only if you say yes in your account. Research and benchmarks never use names and only ever report groups of 50 or more people.

Question 16

Who is EraSkills for?

Accepted Answer

Working adults. Everyone who signs up or answers as a rater confirms they're 18 or older.

Question 17

Who do I contact about privacy?

Accepted Answer

Email privacy@eraskills.com.
